By brewing directly into a 40-ounce, insulated thermos carafe, this 900-watt drip coffeemaker keeps coffee hot for hours, eliminating the need for a warming plate, which can turn coffee bitter over time. The carafe's lid seals in place during brewing, locking in flavor and aroma, and there's an optional charcoal water-filter cartridge for reducing chlorine in tap water. All this adds up to great-tasting coffee from start to finish.
